Background
Through a national framework agreement, The Education Funding Agency (EFA) were looking for a number of providers with capability to deliver pre-construction services over a four-year period. Led by the Government’s Construction strategy, the EFA were looking for suitable players who could translate national capability to a local level; bring innovation solutions in line with current thinking; BIM capability – whilst understanding the EFA’s requirements.

Brief
The EFA were looking for organisations they could partner with; who were committed; who were flexible and adaptable; were open in their dealings – but most importantly, who could bring a focus on service improvement and efficiencies – improving schools’ experience. This aspect was vital to the client, as this was an area where the EFA could lose reputation.

Solution
We started with understanding that ISG were protecting the EFA’s brand reputation. We created a methodology, where ISG described throughout their response story, how the pre-construction work they were involved in could contribute to better educational outcomes and a better school, teacher and pupil experience, in tandem with generating service improvements and efficiencies. ISG were successful in gaining a place on the national framework in four out of the five regions.
